台灣為島國，漆藝自四面八方傳進，惟因受日本統治影響，受日本影響最深。陳愷靜以台灣視角描繪台灣樸拙的小角落，融合優雅的古典歐式配色，以及細緻的浮世繪文人氛圍，大膽而鮮明的構圖令人耳目一新！
在日本，製作嚴謹的漆板，基本工序已有24道，但除了最基本的漆板製作，還需各種色漆髹塗、變塗、蛋殼、螺鈿貼付、金屬平脫、鑲嵌、蒔繪、沈金等技法交互運用，最講究的輪島塗漆器到製作完成可達上百道的工序過程。溫度必須控制在15 -32℃ ，相對濕度75-85%，整個流程都必須小心呵護控制。
漆藝本身無胎體，僅作為表面修飾、保護的殼層，雕塑和陶藝的基礎，讓陳愷靜得以在漆藝中的脫胎成型中，自由運用；金工和竹編技法亦能成為承載漆藝的特色胎體，種種的轉折都成為漆藝創作的養分。
漆藝除了做工繁複外，生漆中漆酚更會引起人體過敏，而陳愷靜過敏情況更是常人之最，手臂不斷腫脹到幾近成倍，流湯發熱，連精神都萎靡。除了做工繁複是場耐力賽，更需要克服過敏難耐這點。一件平面創作，其背後的堆疊可謂「辛酸血淚」不錯！

老房子的鏤空磚牆裡，冒出一株怕人家不知道的、結著橙黃香甜的枇杷老樹，花貓牆上正好眠。
Amid a decaying brick wall grows a very old loquat tree, laden with fruits. A cat takes a good nap under the tree.

野薑花晶晶亮亮的花瓣透著維管束的痕跡，蜘蛛張開網，捕的是露珠，還是貪吃花蜜的螞蟻？
Morning dews are rolling around the petals of Ginger lily, also called garland flower. Nearby, a spider is weaving its net. But, on whom the spider is keeping an eye? The morning dews, or the mouth-watering ants searching for nectar?

絲瓜園裡包天覆地的絲瓜葉和花，各種昆蟲藏匿，大啖瓜葉，伺機而動，在這羅網般的葉脈公路中行進。
Leaves and flowers sprawl in a luffa garden where various insects take shelter and feed on the gourd leaves. The animals crawl amid the vines waiting for their opportune moment to strike.

天雨金花Golden Shower Tree 15號 2017

素有黃金花之稱的阿勃勒，在黑夜中最是鮮明，片片花瓣懸吊在高高的枝頭隨著晚風搖曳、掉落如細雨。
Golden Shower Trees, renowned for its sparkling blossoms, stand out in the dark. A gentle breeze blows the blossoms off to the ground, like a sudden drizzle.
夜之迴圈 Spiralling Nights 35號 2016

夜幕低垂的池畔，白鵝、雪白的菜鴨三三兩兩，在沁涼濡濕的空氣中悠游自得。假寐的、舒張翅膀的、覓食的、水上滑行的，都沐浴在這片婆娑的星光下，遠遠望去，像是一個行進的迴圈，如同生命周而復始地循環不息。
Goose and white Tsaiya ducks swim across the pond at night. Some are taking nap along the way, others are fluttering their wings, and still others are looking for food. Bathed in the starlight, the flock moves in spiraling circle.
紅橋夜色Crimson Bridge at Night 15號 2017

觀音山俯瞰下的雙北市，兩河與群山環繞，有雲霧繚繞的山景，景觀大廈、舊公寓、工廠、各式建築的混搭。在無數交錯的旅途中，紅橋串起夢中乳藍色的暖流。
The Guanyin Mountain overlooks both the Taipei City and the New Taipei City. The parcel of land is met by rivers and surrounded by mountains and mixtures of buildings and factories. A crimson bridge where people journey back and forth is connecting different city dreams.

長在河邊的蓮蕉，怒放如烈焰般艷紅，與停歇一旁的彩繪舢舨小船形成強烈的對比。
Canna grows near the river. The radiant red plant is in sharp contrast to painted boats moored to a pier.
